This week, I.....

...fasted in observance of Yom Kippur...
...decided what I want to do with my life and came up with an ad-hoc ten-year plan--all while in the shower....
...caught Jack acting utterly ridiculous on video....
...signed up to be a parade marshall at the upcoming Lantern Parade in Patterson Park...
...watched The Princess Bride....
...dealt with a whole lot of drama at work...
...received my custom-fit jeans from IndiDenim....
...read about Paris...
...had lunch with a childhood friend who I hadn't seen in years...
...organized a meeting for the SI Women's Council--I took over as chairwoman for this group earlier this year...
...completely ignored my to-do list...
...called to wish my mother happy birthday--she turned 54 yesterday...

  2. How do you like the jeans from Indidenim??? I've been curious about the custom jean options.

Congrats on the 10 year plan. I started working on mine last night...
It's not very specific but it's something.

  3. Your week puts mine to shame! How did your fast go? How do you like your jeans. I think custom fit jeans might be heaven on earth. Just before I read this I started thinking about my future - after our kid(s) are out of the house; Mine involves a second home in Tuscany.

This post certainly is a little inspirational kick in the pants. Thanks! :)

  9. "watched The Princess Bride...."

I work with a guy named Inigo. I can't say his name without wanting to follow it up with "You kilt my fadder. Prepare to DIE!!!"

  10. Good for you! I, too, am a shower thinker...I need to get a waterproof pen and paper set for the shower. I would love to catch my hubby doing ridiculous stuff on camera...I caught him shaving his butt once on my camera phone...I was imediately tackled and all evidence erased...it was funny though. He never shaves his butt, he said it was too itchy! Haha!

  12. Oh yeah....and a post about the 10-year plan is also in the works! Funny that so many of us think in the shower. I guess it's being in a quiet place, away from distractions, doing mindless tasks that facilitates the deep thought....someone should do a study or something....
