What's on my mind

Some days I wish I were a cat. I would love to lay around the house all day, being stroked and soaking up the sun.

Be good, or be discreet.

I have great legs. My ankles are delicate and feminine, and my calf muscles are firm and defined. What do you love about your body?

A third old friend has re-entered my life...what is going on in the universe!?!

I've finally reached a point in my life where I know that I could be happy anywhere, doing anything. My happiness is not situational or circumstantial, it is part of my essence, my soul.

To-do lists, appointments, big plans, tough choices...life is hard. Wonderful, but difficult at times.

Our time on this planet is short. How can I make the most of mine? I know that I can't live forever, and I wouldn't want to, but it would be nice to leave this world having made a difference. It's not recognition I seek; I just want to know that there is a purpose, a meaning to my life. Sometimes it feels all for naught.

There's the beginnings of a poem I wrote in my blogger drafts, but I'm not sure I have the guts to finish it, much less hit publish.

I am really tempted to buy a pair of the sparkly pink go-go boots I saw online...But, when can a respectable girl like me ever wear something like that?

  1. I love my calves too...they aren't femanine by any means. They are large and muscular. But I don't have cankles so it's all good. I love when I wear heels with a dress that shows off my calves...never fails I always get at least one person who says "damn, your calf muscles are huge!" Love that.
Publish the poem...I am sure it is worth the read...don't sell yourself short.
Sparkly pink go-go boots would work for Halloween on a respectable woman, or if you go to a crazy night club (with the right outfit)...just don't wear them to work.

  3. Great post. Sometimes a girl just "needs" sparkly go go boots. Don't question yourself - just buy and enjoy them (even if you just prance around the house in them) and besides I'm sure your calves would like awesome with the boots.

  4. Hi!

Right now, what I DON'T love about my body is my chin. I've started thinking its kinda stick outy, Jennifer Aniston-ish but in a weird way. :|

I totally LOVE your realizations and all...they are very much like how I think! The way you that your happiness is not circumstantial and situational.
And about how to live the life to the fullest and make a difference? DITTO.

Poem and sparly pink go-go boots...go for it! :)

  5. Wow...this is amazing. I feel the same way. Maybe one day I can be as cool as you--what with your "take it with you happiness" and pink go go boots.
    Love-It!

  8. I tried to post a comment to this ages ago, but your blog and my work computer don't seem to get along. Happily, I'm working from home today!

You could come up with any number of places to wear those go go boots. I bought a big red maribou top hat and couldn't think where I'd wear it, but it made me happy. It has been making me happy at various Mad Hatter-themed tea parties, Halloween parties, and costume parties ever since. Go for it!
